White Hot: The Release of LABELS New Album

April 25th of 2025 is a huge day for punk rock fans, especially those already exposed to the brilliance of LABELS discography. Towards the end of this month, the DFW-based band composed of twin brothers Braden (guitar, vocals) and Taylor Burgan (drums, percussion), Matt Frandsen (bass, vocals), and Tyler Waller (lead vocals, percussion) will be releasing their fourth album, ‘White Hot’, and they aren’t holding back on any of the heat.

This LP is stacked with ten fuzzy garage punk tracks that will have you addicted to the powerful strength that LABELS carries in their sound.  Both tracks, “Toxic Love” and “Wake Up”, will be featured in the album, with “Wake Up” as the official single. The lyrics I don’t think I’ve been here before/I think that I’m dreaming/I don’t think I’ve been here before/I think I’ve gone missing, are featured in the single, highlighting the subject that people need to wake up and realize that the world is not what it seems.  This theme is prevalent throughout the album, as LABELS uses the might of their voice and ingenious creativity to push the people to open their eyes to the reality of the world that lies in front of us.

I have had the privilege of hearing the majority of the album live, which only strengthens my anticipation for its release. Although Tyler joined the band a little over a year ago and Matt several months later, the chemistry these musicians share while performing makes it seem as though they have been playing together their entire lives. Whether it be by blood or choice, their ability to connect and deliver is evident in every aspect of their music.

LABELS are undeniably punk and undeniably burning up the DFW music scene.  I highly recommend adding the release of ‘White Hot’ to your calendars, and I hope to see you at one of their next shows, for an experience I promise you will not regret.
