Welcome to Echo City: Inside Tela Bella’s Debut Album

‘Echo City’, Tela Bella’s debut LP, was released on March 28, 2025. In celebration of the album release, Harrison and Jack lined up three back-to-back shows in honor of showcasing their newly released 10-track project. I was granted the opportunity to attend the first of the three performances on the night of the special day.

Jack previously stated that with this project, the two-piece band wanted to steer away from their original indie pop/rock sound and dive deeper into the electronic scene while keeping the performance as close to the actual songs as possible. It’s fair to say that the effort was a success. Listening to this album immerses you in a spacey, otherworldly realm that scratches the brain, both in its recorded and live forms. 

‘Echo City’ is a cohesive masterpiece that, according to Harrison, began to be conceptualized around October. "Departure" was the first track written, and the rest followed with the clear vision that both members had for their desired sound.

The band has felt a strong passion for their artistry since the very beginning of its creation, stating, “For us, it's music or nothing.” The evidence is in every corner of their work. The attentiveness and dedication to every detail of their craft create such a pleasant experience for listeners and audience members alike.
